| We run Rienks Guitars from our small shop in Marysville, Washington and deal directly with our customers-before, during and after the instrument is born. Most of our guitars are made to order for our customers who are on the waiting list. Occasionally we'll slip in an extra one (time permitting) to sell to local music stores or on this website (the "In Stock" button will take you there). We have an ever expanding variety of "ready to choose" shapes and styles of guitars, but we will also work with you if you have ideas of your own (shapes, electronics, pickup combinations, scale lengths, etc.). The instrument is being crafted for you and your needs! Just don't ask us to copy someone else's designs. We won't knowingly do that. If you want their stuff, please buy from them. Each guitar (even our ready to choose models) are handcrafted making each one unique. In other words, we are not using CNC machines or other computerized equipment to stamp out exact carbon copies of one another. Of course modern tools like tablesaws and bandsaws are used for some things, but carved tops, comfort cuts, and necks are all created with hand tools. Our belief is that no computer controlled device can put life into an instrument as effectively as the human craftsman. There are plenty of pretty looking, decent sounding and well built machine made guitars down at your local guitar hut. Some are reasonably priced, some ridiculously expensive and for many people these guitars will suffice. Sometimes though, they seem to lack the common bond we all share-the human touch. We are here to provide you with a one of a kind instrument that will serve your needs in style, tone and performance for years to come. We look forward to doing business with you and welcoming you into the Rienks Guitars family. Thanks for visiting our site, Ray | |
